can't change gear for my Lexus?

My battery for Lexus ES300 gone back (at least what i thought, could not start engine)
And when i replace with new battery, I could start the engine, step on gas, but i could not change gear( can't drive) and some other things like dashboard does not work

What can possibly be the reason why it is not working?
 
The gear issue throws me off. The dashboard may be intermittent because of a wiring issue. Since you already bought another battery, take it back to where you bought it to first see if it's the correct battery. Vehicles require AMPS to start. Make sure your battery has the right amount of COLD CRANKING AMPS (CCA) to maintain it, especially through the winter.

It sounds to me like you are experiencing a rank 2, anomaly-class, midlevel poltergeist that must be scientifically extracted in order for your vehicle to return to unsable status.

But who are you going to call in this instance?
