i LOVE the original trilogy! Scream and Scream 2 defined 90's Horror! both truely Gold films, and both 1 and 2 were VERY tense and tightly scripted, you genuinely cared for each of the characters.
Scream and Scream 2 got 5/5 for me
Scream 3 however i liked slightly less than the previous two films because i felt that some of the scenes appeared a bit too contrived and tried to be upping the ante so to speak while previous films had it down to a fine art so effortlessly! and Kevin Williamson's witty script was lacking in some areas.
Regardless, Scream 3 is still a fantastic sequel and far better than lot of the horror from the past 4 years or so! and gave the original trilogy a fantastic end! 4/5 from me for that!
Scream 4 by the trailer looks as though all bets are off this time! it's great that for a slasher flick to have the actors experiencing this in their mid-40's rather than late teens and early 20's like many of the genre have! Although i feel that Courntey's character will be sadly making her final appearence by that trailer and the confirmation that she had a smaller role in this film due to her show Cougar Town being picked up and having success. Looks like she'll have a really fantastic outing though and really dramatic (i have my faith in Wes!)
Also glad that the main characters are back! and a bunch of famous fresh faces too! all i am gonna say is, i'm going to have a marathon soon! and cannot wait to see this film! waiting the past few years for it and it's FINALLY here!
also i love that the Gorno genre is gonna be ridiculed a bit here too! i always love the intertextual references and satire in these films!
