I have tried so many different products! i have used Neutrogena, Proactive, Noxzema, acnefree, and a few other products and i cannot find anything that works!! can anyone give me a suggestion to anything else I can try??

Hi potterfreak09

as acne is a natural process so i thin it is not gud to use artificial products to avoid acne. Use natural remedies or home remedies to treat acne. you can apply toothpast on acne and it will reduce the size of acne.also you can apply garlic paste acne site to get relief....hw it will help you.....

looking for a response from your side

i'm using accutaine now and it's my second month and i'm doin better you should try that

try this really amazing home remedy. It'll show results from the first time you use it.
mix gram flour with yogurt and a pinch of turmeric
it corabats acne while giving you a glowing skin
give it a try for sure!!

Potterfreak my sister had the same problem as you and this may sound weird but she was consuming a lot of pineapple and drinking pineapple juice. She really loved it. Anyway she started an elimination diet and after cutting out the pineapple she cleared up in less than a week. It may not work for you but you could try an elimination diet and find what does it for you.

Oily skin is one of the main reason for acne. For oily skin we should take some precautions like wash your face daily with hot water, use mild soap, use oil free cosmetic products, drink lots of water, balanced diet, take vitamins, oil-free makeup products, exercise, facial cleansing etc.

hey, even i had severe acne..but now they are much under control..try these herbal tremedies..sure will work
1) himalaya purim tablets - 2 with each meal
2) mix nutmeg(jaiphal) powder, lemon juice, honey and unboiled(raw) milk, rosewater and apply on face. leave on for 2-3 hours and wash with cold water. Really makes skin much better
3) eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
4) avoid smoking
5) drink lots of water
6) apply aloe vera gel or calendula ointment at night. they greatly increase healing of skin
7) wash face with warm water using salt as scrub. then wash with cold water. smoothens skin and removes dirt and excess oil
8) try zinc 50 mg per day on full stomach
9) never pick or pop pimples. NEVER

though it is a common problem for many don't think that it is a natural process and that you should just use home remedies. if you have continuing problems, can't get rid of it or cysts, i would go directly to a dermatologist. i would not waste time and money on otc treatments. sounRAB like you need professional help. genetics, hormones, and other things contribute to your acne. they have new treatments e.g. cryotherapy and light boxes, new antibiotics etc. don't give up!!

I have tried just about every drugstore product on the market. I also tried many prescription ones, for example, Differin, Retin-A, and yes, even the supposed miracle-product- Accutane.

None of it worked for me. The only thing that has helped at ALL is not using Benzoyl Peroxide (I discovered that it was really really irritating my skin) and to use gentle skincare products. I use a mixture of organic products and ones from Sephora. Sephora is a good place to go to get a skin consultation/recommendation of products, plus they give you whatever samples you need. It's a lot easier than wasting money on drugstore things that don't work! I still do get breakouts, but using Peter Thomas Roth's acne clearing gel has significantly helped.

if you have mild and moderate acne Zineryt or Skinoren may be effective for you, however as far as i know these drugs are available only in Europe

I'm happy for you that you can get accutaine, but it is like hell trying to get put on it.The second I mention it when going to any doctors office they shoot you right out of the sky claiming its for only severe cases.

It's impossible to get rid of acne I believe and I have just learned to live with it.
I have tried tons of medications and I am currently on a 3 step kit by obaji, in addition to doxycycline.

...My skin is always red as hell, acne is semi still there, and dry as anything.

I hate how the pharmaceutical companies exploit the price of the drugs as they nearly nail me for 100 dollars a month or even more frequent.
Even actuaine isn't a permanent fix as most users have to go through the procedure multiple times as their acne comes back.
Then Benzoyl peroxide ages your skin and gives you wrinkles.... which has you buying more products for skin care in the future, its all such a rip off.

Do you really think the pharmaceutical companies want to see your skin clear for life after a one week use of a drug.... If so your sadly mistaken.
They want to have you on a pill or cream (or whatever the case is) to the end of your life so you continue to give them money.

The Pharmaceutical drug industry isn't the nuraber 1 industry in the U.S for no reason at all now is it ?

I had really bad acne and tried Doxycycline.
Doxycycline was the holy grail for clearing my face and body of acne.
The Doxycycline I took was 100 MG per capsule.
I took one capsule per day.
Have you tried this?
You got to get the Doxycycline prescribed from a Derm.

I used to have severe acne, some years ago. I had tried all the med treatments sold in the drugstore, and when nothing work- not even Proactiv Solution-- I decided that I need to drink lots of water. Still, that didn't help. To top it off, stress made me flare up really easily. After years of unsuccessful trials, I finally decided to try Accutane, thanks to some incredible pictures that I was able to see on some patients.
I was like-- I need that-- pronto. Sure, the sideeffects were scary-- because they don't recommend them to bipolar individuals-- but still I thought, this is going to make me feel very happy about myself. so I might as well try it. I requested a referral to see a dermatologist, on a day when my flare ups were extremely bad-- white heaRAB all over my face, and I didn't receive much opposition from the dermatologist when he saw me. He was a great doctor, gave me hope. He said, oh yeah, Accutane is going to dry it all up.
So I took the treatment for 5 months, and my God, I felt so beautiful. I was getting compliments on my skin all the time. After 5 months of being off the meRAB, I started to break out here and there again-- but by then I had already found something permanent and healthy to make my zits less prominent. Vitamins.
I have been taking Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid). Now let me just say that this is my experience. I recommended it to my younger sis, but with her it didn't work. It gives you a lot of energy in some cases-- and she didn't like the way it was making her feel. But I have been taking those pills for about 5 years now-- and thank God I haven't missed work again because I felt too erabarassed to go. (-::
Don't give up-- I know there are a lot of options there-- but until you've tried them all, you won't find the one that actually works for you. So have hope.

Like Penguin19, Im on aaccutane and its really working well for me I dont see anythin wrong in having meRAB to help clear your acne. < edited >

Try using this simple home remedy which is using rose water & lemon jucie (it can be the natrual or the one's you get from your local shop). My littel sister had it she was told to use this remedy, egyptians use it normally.

Acne is a natural process of a teenagers life, as being one I would know. I kinda had bad acne in when i was 12 to 13 but now its all gone. Maybe its not going away now because of all the products you used. I have had frienRAB whom now basically have to use for example: pro active for the rest of their life because their face got use to all those chemicals in the products and now if he does not use it , it gets worse.
