gear bolts to subframe ?? My sway bar broke, easy enough to uninstall, it was broken :) ...bought a new one from dealer, jacked up car and removed tires. I couldn't get the steering gear bolts x2 to loosen from the subframe in order to safely lower the subframe to gain access to remove the gaskets and clamp that secure the sway bar to the frame, so i tried to wiggle the sway bar through rediculously thinking it would go ...now it's stuck, i still can't remove the bolts that attach the steering gear which means i'm stuck in my driveway with no further resolution. Does anyone have a magic trick to either get the nuts off the steering gear (i've tried penetrating spray, a torch) or another way to install this darn swaybar ?
thanks guys, just to update, bought the repair book and have tried the leverage bar which broke my socket extention :) ...still no luck !!

Heat em' with a torch. The only tried and true method for removing stubborn bolts. I do it every day.

i think y would need a breaker bar, and just put a larger and longerbar over that, whats the trick, leverage. gd lk
