Cancelling service... Help please

I am attempting to cancel my service but I cant get through the menus to talk with a CSR.

Here is my situation. I switched over to Verizon on 8/20. They ported my nuraber and everything. I attempted to call Cricket on 8/21 and the menu asked to input my cricket nuraber....which is now verizon, but I attempt it. Well it says it cant find my account. I went thru every menu trying to talk with a CSR and cant seem to find a way to. I sent an email on 8/24 asking for help and got no response to date.

Since then I have spent at least an hour on this menu system. I even called a local store and there advice was to try *611 vs the 1800cricket I was using. That didnt work either.

Is there a direct nuraber to a CSR that someone knows by chance? Or even through the menu system? One where I dont need a cricket nuraber to get to?

How can I cancel my account if I cant talk with a rep? Or will the port nuraber change automatically cancel the account?

thanks for any assistance by the way!!

There is no "Direct nuraber" into a Customer service rep. I'm slightly confused with what you are trying to do / with what you have done. If your trying to cancel your account, Go into a Cricket store and say that i want to cancel my account. If you ported your nuraber to verizon than the account will be canceled already.

if your nuraber is ported then your account is already cancelled

edit: man i should really read posts all the way, mark you already answered this

Hit with another bill? from a month to month carrier with no contract. That's funny.
It's not like they are gonna come after you or mess up your credit.

Curious why you left and went to Verizon anyway. Care to share?

I would get hit with another bill because I have auto pay thru my checking account. They never asked they just sent me a txt message saying they were going to pull money.

As far as leaving. Well couple reasons. I'm going to be travelling a bit more here in the future and I wanted something with more coverage. I was paying 56$ a month anyway so for an extra 25 bucks a month I can get a lot more coverage. (I get a 17% discount on my verizon bill thru work). The 2nd reason is, most of the people I talk with are already on verizon. So, my minute usage and text messaging wont be impacted when talking with them and it will actually improve theirs.

Overall I enjoyed the Cricket plan. I mean you cant beat unlimited everything for 56$ a month. Believe me, I am not looking forward to counting minutes again. Although, it looks like you can just call a #min and see your usage which is cool.

I may still get another cricket phone, one for home usage. Gonna try this out for a month or 2 first though.

Call 611 from your phone get to the main menu and hit No.3 for Tech Support and be like i want to cancel damn it and your done other wise go down to your local Cricket Store aka Cricket Retail and cancel in person as well. i think thats the simple way of doing it. Done deal

if you are on a post paid account there is the possibility of being sent to collections. they did verify socials/drivers licenses when they were doing post paid. but the chances are slim.

if you are on ABP, I would try to call a store, any dealer can look up if your account is cancelled, but only full service stores can cancel it. (a dealer could take you off abp tho)
