Canceled Cartoons You Want Revived

W.I.T.C.H. - Though I never actually finished watching the second season (it got sent to a 2AM slot before I could), I think the series was popular enough and there was enough material for another season or two. Plus, it was one of the greatest action/advenure shows I've ever seen.

Invader Zim - Okay, I must admit that I was slightly creeped out by it during the start of its first-run, but I later began to like it a bit. So when learned it ended just like that, I didn't care to much. But now that I know how and why it got cancelled, I think it deserves that third season that was supposed to wrap up the show.

Whatever Happened To Robot Jones - I really loved this show, and I feel that it didn't get enough network support (well, it's there fault of greenlighting the third-placer). Putting it in the 11pm slot on Fridays? At least give it a better chance.

Toonami - I'm not asking for a revival of the block (since it had a good 11+ years), I'm asking for an animated series. The show would be completely amazing as one. And sure, let's get TOM 4 replaced by TOM 5 in the season finale. There is a lot of potential for a series, and it's likely to be a hit with the 12-17 group that grew up with at least TOM 2 like me.

The title says it. all. I'm guessing that most of us will be saying the same thing.

Oh, and maybe, just MAYBE...Invader ZIM.

The Critic - This show is airing on Teletoon and it's very funny :anime: Jay is such a great character.

Fred's Head - I know this show isn't very old. But I recently heard that it was cancelled .

Fillmore: Scott Gimple's tribute to 70's Quinn Martin crime dramas (that explains "Act 1", "Act 2", etc.) was underappreciated by ABC AND Disney. Like, Disney can't be bothered to put Fillmore on in place of one of their 2 dozen screenings of That's So Raven reruns per day. I don't even see it on Toon Disney's sched at present.

Justice League Unlimited: Closure? I don't think so. If the DTV movies turn enough of a profit for WB, maybe they could bring this back.

Spider-Man Unlimited (1999): Fox & Saban fumbled the ball with this incarnation of Spidey. Yes, it got steamrolled into a quick cancellation thanks to Pokemon, but this requires a little closure of its own.

SWAT Kats: Add my voice to the chorus asking for a resumption of this series.

Thundarr the Barbarian: All they have to do is forward the plot about 40 years (2027 for the cataclysm instead of 1987 in the original opening, etc.).

Invader Zim: But only if Jhonen Vasquez remained on board. If not, then put Zim out of his misery.

Jem: Another season AND a movie were in the works, but the disappointing box office performance of the Transformers and My Little Pony movies pretty much killed the any further plans for a totally outrageous 4th season.

Gargoyles: - I'd love to see this show return to animation and totally cast out the Goliath Chronicles once and for all.

X-Men: Evolution - There was so much that could have been done with the concept, and we were given a ton of possible stories in that final episode.

The Critic - The show was supposed to go to UPN after Fox cancelled it, but odds are it would have been cancelled there, as well. It would have been fun to see Jay go from Fox to UPN to WB to CBS to NBC to Comedy Central season by season, gaining enough episodes to go into syndication.

Sonic The Hedgehog (Adventures & SatAM) - The two best Sonic series deserved a 2nd & 3rd Season respectively. Both were superior to the crud that was Sonic Underground.

Phantom 2040
Fantastic Four WGH (though there hasn't been official word that it was cancelled)
Danny Phantom (I just want a little closure)
Fillmore (yeah, it ran on a formula but I loved this show)
Juniper Lee
Dungeons and Dragons (same reason as Danny Phantom, though it may be 20 years too late)
Samurai Jack (don't wanna use the c word again)

Oh how could I have forgotten this old gem? A kids version of CSI. I loved every second of this show! At least show reruns again Disney. Tis' all I ask.

O'Grady, Sheep In The Big City, and Megas XLR. All great shows that unfortunately weren't like the 99% other programs on the air, so they got canned.

Nicktoons recently premiered some episodes of Wayside and more may show up in the future...those of you who have the channel should keep a lookout for them.

Three shows I'd like to see revived (mostly because they've never been completely aired here in the U.S.) are Cybersix, Monster Allergy, and Eon Kid. They all deserved a full run but were pulled by their respective networks (KidsWB! and Fox Kids). Also, I'd personally would like to see a continuation of the series Silverwing. Though its 13 existing eps got played a lot on Toon Disney, I definately would have liked to seen new eps showing the search for Shade's father.

Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Could you repeat it again? :p

The movie finale...DID feel like closure. At least, to me it did.

Well, they could always do a comic book mini-series for this...

Hopefully that movie'll start production soon.

Ah Cybersix...that takes me back... *nostalgia induced day dreaming*

Another show from that era I believe never got the exposure it deserve was the little-known gem Stickin' Around:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCTBHLI4IhY

I found an old tape of that on sale at a video rental place and 10 years after I'd last watch it its still entertaining and hilarious! Even if I knew the jokes!!

Better than Spongebob >.>

But since its style is timeless and its stories just as relevant now AND with Canadian animation selling all over the world I could see this show come back. It was pretty unique.

I?d like to see ?Brandy & Mr. Whiskers? revived, even if only for one more episode. I realize that the series didn?t have the best continuity in the world, but it did have continuity and it?s a shame that the series was cancelled before the titular characters could resolve their fate. I would have liked to see an episode where Brandy Harrington managed to get back home to Florida, as many other fans of the series would have liked to see, but it never happened.

I can't believe none of you have mentioned Thundarr The Barbarian! Thundarr rocks! If it were completely redone they might have to change the opening (change the year of The Cataclysm from 1994 to 2094), but it would still be a great show. With the more lax attittude of Standards & Practices, they could probably get away with even more adult story lines as well.

My obvious pick.

Happy Ness. The series never got a concrete ending. We never found out if they got back home after the last ep. I came up with my own version of what happened, which included a few Pokemon references.

Legion of Superheroes - I mean they had plans for a 3rd season but instead the show got cancelled and season 2 was left with a cliff hanger.
