Canadian Cartoons

Agreed and not only has it got beautiful visuals and style, it's got a fantastic and very off-beat theme tune; made, perhaps unsurprisingly by a company called Eurotrash. And, I was kinda surprised to see it on TV over here, what with Jacob's maple leaf helmet and all.
 
Jacob 22 is a nice show. Simple stories but complex characters. And yes, the 'story book' animation style gives it a very interesting feel. I prefer Jane and the Dragon though. (produced through New Zealand and Canada.)

Its not just that. The show is very obviously set in Montreal. There's TONS of visible landmarks and Jacob's favorite team is obviously an hommage to the Montreal Canadiens.

I also like the style of the story.
 
I used to watch "Jacob Two-Two" and "Jane and the Dragon", but then things happened, and I just didn't feel like watching them anymore. I was also sick of the endless reruns. :sweat: Both are pretty good Canadian produced shows. :)
 
there another cartoon who currently broadcasted in Teletoon titled "Fred's head" in English or "Fred le blas?" in French, lots of hints then this one came from Montreal like the opening credits, you see a bridge who looks like Jacques-Cartier bridge in Montreal.
 
Hmm... that makes me wonder: what visible/tell-tale Canadianisms are present in cartoons?

For me, I'd say:
- 6Teen: seems like whenever they showed money (in the episodes I've seen anyway) it was always Canadian $5 bills (blue-colored), plus the pronunciation of a few words ("adult").

- George of the Jungle (current series): A preview for one episode (with a tree sloth) has George playing hockey (with said sloth as a goalie).

- Cyberchase (the ones made by Nelvana at least): the characters' pronunciation of "lever" British English-style in a few episodes (rhyming with "beaver"). Wondering if Buzz's obsession with donuts and the Canadian-style coloring of the different units of cyberspace's currency ("snelfus") might also count.
