This thread is about Canadian-born voice-actors that were heard in American cartoons. Any of them count. Let's also include some of the America cartoons that the Canadian voice-actors were heard in. I'm going to start off with Montreal-born Henry Corden, known as the voice of Fred Flintstone, continuously for 22 years, before retiring and turning the role over to Jeff Bergman. Fellow Montrealler Peter Cullen, as we all know, Optimus Prime of TransFormers fame. Also from north of the border, John Vernon, who played Batman villain, Rupert Thorne. Stanley Jones, from Toronto, as Lex Luthor from The Superfriends as well as Riff-Raff and Wordsworth from Heathcliff(1984, DiC). Cree Summer as Inspector Gadget's Penny and later, Elmyra Duff from Tiny Toon Adventures. William Shatner and James Doohan as Capt. Kirk and Lt. Cmdr. Scott, respectively, in Filmation's 1973 version of Star Trek. Alexandra Stewart as Space Ghost's teen ward, Jan in Hanna-Barbera's Space Stars, from 1981. I might as well also add Michael David Donovan in the title role of Conan in Conan the Adventurer. Donovan was also heard in King Arthur & the Knights of Justice as well as Warner Bros. Superman series. Maurice LaMarche as Brain of Pinky & the Brain fame, the Chief on Inspector Gadget, Egon Spengler in The Real Ghostbusters and he was also Jack Mercer's first successor as Popeye in 1987's Popeye & Son. I think you have the idea, this is about Canadian-born voice-actors in American cartoons, and let's also include the cartoon shows that they were heard in. The floor is yours- if you have more info, please chime in. BTW, all Canadian voice-over talent is in bold.

Tara Strong, canadian that started as a child voice actress in canadian shows like the Care Bears, but as go on to do many american cartoons like The Fairy Odd Parents, Syn Bionic Titan, Ben 10, etc.

Yes. He also provided the voice of Waffle from Nickelodeon's Catscratch, among other things.

Here's one for ya': Dave Thomas. Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, and noteable for his role on Canada's SCTV (otherwise known as Second City Television) he had a number of voice over roles in several American series (King of the Hill, Space Ghost, The Simpsons, etc.).

Paul Soles, the 1st voice of Spider-man for the '67 Spider-man. The first season was made in Canada but season 2 and 3 was made in the United States when Ralph Bakshi supervised the series.

SNL alumni Norm McDonald (born in Quebec city) guest starred as Norm the genie in Fairly Oddparents.

John Vernon also portrayed General "Thunderbolt" Ross in the 1996 Hulk cartoon as well.

Those of us who don't know Michael Ironside as the bad guy from Scanners might know him as the voice of Darkseid in the DCAU.

Technically, she's from Los Angeles. Her father moved the family to an indian reservation in Canada when Cree was just a little girl.

I got a couple for you all to chew on:

Lawrance Bayne (Possibly best known as Cable in the 1992 X-Men series), appeared on Gargoyles on a couple of occasions

Likewise, fellow Co-star/Nova Scotia Politician (Side note, I too am from NS) Lenore Zann has worked on several American shows and Anime dubs (Outlaw Star, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, The Mummy cartoon and the Magic Knight Rayearth Anime).

It's also worth noting that most of the main cast of X-Men return to their roles for two episodes of the 1994 Spider-Man series.

Anyways, here's another one:

-John Stocker was in The Real Ghostbusters as The Stay Puft Marshmellow Man (Uncredited though)

I can't believe the name David Kaye hasn't been mentioned yet. Yes, Kaye has now moved to Los Angeles, but until his role of Optimus Prime in Transformers Animated, he was one of the more famous Canadian VA's thanks to his roles of Megatron and Shesshomaru, among others.

Honestly, there are so many Canadians doing voiceover work in cartoons it may as well be interchangeable. You guys are just America Jr. anyways. :p
