Can youbreak the tarsal bones in your foot and still walk on it?

yesterday we were playing a game of soccer in pe and I went to kick the ball and instead i ended up nailing a girl on the toe of her foot with my foot where the tarsal bones (on top by your ancle) are and I was bare foot, and she was wearing thick soled athletic shoes. my foot is now red and swollen, I can't bend my toes down and there is bruising as well, is it broken
