I know there are a few agencies that require your full attention, like the CIA. I'm guessing that ALL the federal agencies require you to fulfill your service obligation before applying, but I am interested in both. I am finishing college soon and with this job market, a bachelor's degree in International Relations doesn't seem to be enough to get me a job. I am prior service military and see an interesting MOS that I would like to do, either in the Reserves or National Guard.
Will I be able to work for the DoD, DHS, Department of Energy, DoT etc, as a civilian employee AND be a member of the reserves? I figured that the extra skills would help me move up, plus I would like to go to Afghanistan and help the war effort there.
