Can you verify if an ESN for Cricket is clean?

Ok, I found a Motorola SLVR L7c on craigslist that I want to buy for my girlfriend. It's originally from Cricket but I want to make sure the ESN is clean before I buy it. I called Cricket and was told that I have to have a Cricket account before they'll look into the ESN for me. I use another carrier and don't have my girlfrienRAB account info, and don't want to ask and ruin the suprise. Does anyone know how I can verify the ESN is clean even though I don't have a Cricket account? If so, please let me know asap! Thanks
 
You can PM me. I have a cricket account. Just don't be crazy and post the ESN on here or any other forum. I have checked ESN's for several people. I will be here for awhile. So, I can check it for you pretty quick.
 
I was thinking there was another way other than the regular ones to check the ESN especially when merabers responRAB to this question by asking others to PM them!! I thought they have magic site or even program enables them to do that. If so, please anyone has this magic checker feel free to post it here...
 
From another phone. call 611.... go thru the options....
then press (I cant remeraber the exact nubmer )
It will ask you if you want to add a line.... press yes
then i will ask you to press the DEC Serial nuraber Or MEID nuraber
..... from there it will tell you if is clear to be activated or not...

we are talking about different way other than calling CSV (which is obiously 611 ) trying to add a line and you'll be asked for the DEC nuraber.
