can you use voice chat on the fat princess demo for ps3?

so I got the fat princess demo on the ps3 and when i turn on my bluetooth I dont hear anyone and when I hold down R2 theres like a red circle X that appears over my character. does this mean you can't talk in the fat princess demo or what?
