Can you use the T-Mobile SIM Card Activation Kit for a SidekickLx2009 to become prepaid?

I am wondering if u can use the kit to make the sidekick lx 2009 prepaid since i dont have a credit card to do monthly fees so i want it preaid so i can buy a card to refill it
