I just got a Canon Rebel XS yesterday, so it is brand new. But recently, my granny gave me an old camera of hers to add to my collection of vintage camera. The camera she gave me is also a Canon. And it had an external flash with it. But the thing is, this camera is from like 1984. I'm guessing it is from 1984 because on the lens cap it says "OFFICIAL 35MM CAMERA - 1984 OLYMPIC GAMES".
To save about $100+ dollars, I was thinking of just using the flash that is on the old camera.
They are both Canons.
The flash has new batteries in it (i just put in in there)
It makes a buzzing sound as it charges up to make a flash.(i dunno what that means, is it bad?
I really want to use this thing on my new camera, but I am concerned it would fry/overload it..
can someone help? is it okay to use it?
