Depends on what you filed the claim for. If it was for something like a stolen phone, then the old phone has been flagged as stolen and you will have some difficulty getting it activated since the old phone won't work anymore. The new one will have your old number and it will be the active one. If you filed it as lost and then found, then they might let you do it.
