Can you use a Veitnam Pot-Style helmet rather than a normal bike helmet for bycicling?

Weird question here. I want to know the following details:
1) Weight offset, would that be "bad?"
2) Bycicling Injuries involving the head: Does the combat helmet offer that type of protection?

Things I dont want to know:
1) Finantial Assistance (lol)

Those helmets are designed for head protection from shrapnel and not impacts. If you are required to wear a helmet it will not meet the snell standard for protection.
