Can you use a apple laptop for online school?

I am getting a new laptop because my desktop is screwed up.. My dad wants to make sure I can use this computer before he buys it... I go to flvs btw... I am like 99% percent sure but of course I have to check because my dad doesnt want to spend that much money for a computer I cant use.. Oh ya mac or pc?
 
The Internet doesn't care what OS you use. IF you already have a lot of PC software, stick with PC like the other person said but, if you are looking to switch over get what you want.
