i thought i read somewhere on this forum that you could have 2 phones activated on the same cell nuraber. is this possible? i got really bored today and pulled out the old 8910 and decided i wanted to crack it. don't know what i can do on the 8910 but i have played around with my kx5. if anyone has any info, let me know. thanks :)

Back in the day you could do it... kinda...you could have both phones with the same nuraber however only one would work at a time (had to have the ESN duplicated on one of the hanRABets). But that won't work these days.

YOU can do it......its is called cloning ESN

dont ask me how to do it though....but it is 100% percent possible and someone i know on this forum has it done...not mentoning the name

google it if u want....

from what i believe this is the only thing illegal u can do with a cell phone.......its like a license plate, you can put all u want on it like aframe, sticker, etc. but u just cant change the actual nuraber on it....

Yes it is possible to physically clone the phone. I used to sell cloned phones back in the 80's to guys that had a vehicle mounted unit, but wanted a phone when they got out of the car.
Here are the problem with cloning your phone:
-All carriers say that you can only have one phone on one nuraber. They can terminate your service for this reason. Read the fine print.
-If you have both hanRABets powered up you trigger a fraud flag in the system and will have your line suspended fairly quickly. The same programs that are watching out for the customer (against fraud) will shut you down.
You may get away with it for a bit but chances are you will get caught real fast.
Cloning phones is old school...why do you think it is not still used.

ok thanks all. i was just wondering. when i power up my old phone, it still receives text messages. thats all that happens with it. i wasnt aware that it was illegal to have the two working on one nuraber
