can you unlock a verizon smartpone to work with virgin mobile?

i know virgin mobile runs on sprints network, which is cdma and i know verizon also runs on cdma. so is it somehow possible to unlock a verizon smartphone to work with virgin mobile and use all of virgin mobiles features?
