Can you think of any debates/issues in fashion?

I am going to have an interview to try to get into a top fashion design university and I would like to be as prepared as possible, thanks!!

Use of fur in fashion.

Plus sizes in fashion and lack of options for them compared to smaller sizes.

Is it really a fashion no no to wear black and brown, or red and pink, together.

Was kinda kidding on the last one btw ;)

about the use of real fur in fashion - most designers are signing up with PETA now and are making the pledge that they will not use real fur in any collections in the future. they have just recently spurred Vivienne westwood, Calvin klein, Ralph lauren plus many others to go compassionate. real fur is as ugly as it is cruel, especially to think these animals are cruelly and extremely painfully skinned alive for their fur. there are faux fur options that are FAR better looking (in my opinion) and are just as stylish and warm. real fur only EVER looks good on the animal it was taken from

size zero
the pressure to be "perfect" and the effects it has on young girls and women
plastic surgery
fur

Why would you be debating in an interview?

Anyway, first that comes to mind is the size zero pandemic. There are lots of reasons against it, but you could counter that with brands such as dove using plus size girls. It shouldnt be so hypocritical. Hypocritical in the sense, over weight is just as unhealthy as underweight. People should chill about the models, and focus on the clothing.
