Can you text on an iphone?

yes you could text on a iphone but it is a little hard to do because the buttons are kind of small and yes iphones do have phone numbers.
 
Yes once your iphone is activated by a cell phone company, A T&T, then yes your iphone will have the same capabilities as a cell phone and you will be able to receive and send text. Your iphone will have a phone number assign to it so that you will be able to make and receive calls just like any other cell phone.
 
once your phone is activated by at&t (or t-mobile if its unlocked) then its just like a regular phone with texting and all hope this helps!
