My truck was knocking for over 7 months. In the past 3 months is got worse. It did not really sound like any of the push rods were knocking, rather something in the lower parts of the motor were knocking and rattling mostly at acceleration. The truck then quit rattling and has almost quit running all together. It stopped, and i coasted of the road. The truck was stopped, and the engine smoked. After cranking it over for about 3 minutes, it started, but was no longer knocking. It was now low in power and had a quiet sound to it. kinda like a va roooom. I drove it home and looked under the hood to find that it appeared to be leaking oil. I started to fix it. I checked the rods and they didn't look damaged. I didn't check yet if they are bent. Do you believe it is just a blown head gasket and maybe a bent rod, or is it something else?
Can you tell me what is wrong with my mazda b series pickup 3.0 v6 motor?
