Can you tell me if this sonnet is good enough for my Senior High Poetry class?

The Coming of Day
by Joy Tucker

The disregarded deeds of each new day
Unnoticed by the calm of sun's bright rise
The warmth of touch where sleeping lover's lay
A soft reflection hides behind blue eyes.

The sweeping cool of morning's gentle breeze
Uncovering the decency of life
When only God with wide eyes swiftly sees
The banishment of day's insurgent strife

The stars of night sky wait with open arms
Refreshing hope and promises to come
A galaxy of recognition charms
We settle in and wait for day's sweet hum

Our sanctity and soul have taken flight
Returning once again when daylight strikes.

I think it is very good. Vocabulary, structure, rhythm, rhyme and feeling is all perfect. Joy Tucker is you right? (not saying you plagerized or anything, just that it is awesome!).
I think you should get an opinion from someone who is more trained in what you are doing. Good Luck!
