can you sue in a car accident if you have no insurance?

if your in a car accident and your insurance ran out and some one runs in the back of you, while sitting at a red light can you still sue for injuries and pain and suffering.
 
sure shouldnt have too was stil their fault for hittingyou but you stil get ticket for not having insurance can sue for pretty much anything wil you win is another story but can try talking with a lawyer
 
Thats a great thing to be telling people yea you can sue for anything. Sue if your really hurt other wise leave it alone. Everyone sues everyone nowadays
 
Yes you can sue. However, if the driver that hit you has insurance you can turn in a claim with his / her insurance company.

If you've got the brass ones to do it, go right ahead. As long as you are not in Louisiana or California. But remember, you were not responsible enough to carry insurance on your car, it's going to be very hard to hold another party responsible for their actions.
