My son is 10 yrs. old and in special education. He is going into the fifth grade and can not read at all!He has IEP's and I dont beleive they are being implemented properly. My sons diagnosis' are that he has ADHD, Bi-Polar, and mild cerebral palsy.His teachers are having him do things that are not learning experiences, he spent last year helping in the Kindergarten classes, raking leaves, doing errands for teachers etc.I am at the point that I am going to pull him from public school and home school him, I have lost two jobs from having to leave work early or excessive phone calls due to the school either sending him home or having problems from him that are really not that serious. I need help and the school is non-cooperative......everything is my fault thats their answer, well I'm just not buying that!
Can you sue a school for not properly educating your child?And if you can how?
