can you stand a little thank you? a poem...?

I thought I'd write eloquently
to tell you how I feel substantially
say your name for the world boldly
then there would be others left out coldly
so suffice this to say "to YOU" truly
if words of encouragement given freely
or critiques made so smoothly
or comments given giggly
THEN
this here poem is fer YOU!

Thank you for all you have done
to pull me out of my writing slump
(the one that lasted 25 years or so)
Because now, whether good or bad
my lines, my words are written
forever shared and saved they will
linger on long after I am gone
a piece of me in every word
to give to my grandchildren.
