Can you solve this traffic riddle? ?

Lets say we have the following

Traffic Light A, A1(U turn or going to the left or right)
Traffic Light B, B1(U turn or going to the left or right)
Traffic Light C, C1(U turn or going to the left or right)
Traffic Light D, D1(U turn or going to the left or right)

IF the following was to happen

Method A

A and B start, then they stop and A1& B1 starts, then they stop, C & D start then they stop, C1 & D1 starts

Method B

OR A & A1 starts, then stops and B & B1 starts , then it stops and C& C1 starts, then it stops and D & D1 starts

Which would be the fastest way to clear the traffic?

Method A or Method B
 
I will have to say Method B

But don't fully trust my answer i hated transportation course YAGHHHHT
 
Supposing that they're all major roads, I would prefer:

Traffic A &A1 starts

A1 stops. and B starts and continues with A.

A stops and B1 starts with B


same goes for C & D..
