Can you see an 18 rated movie with an adult - UK?

Okay so me and my friend were talking and we could get her dad to go with us - we are 15, 16 in a month or so and we look quite old for our age but i doubt the guys at the checkout will believe we are 18 :/:/ so if an adult came with us would we be able to get in?
