...master cylinder assembly? if i need the whole master and slave cylinder assembly do i need to remove the transmission on 94 ford ranger 4x4
 
depends on if you have the sachs or PBR cylinder, most likley you have the Sachs so yes you need to remove the transmission. if you have the PBR you have to replace the master and slave as a unit but you dont have to remove the trans, Ford has a better idea! and some day there gonna build a car and a truck.
