I just watched 2 really good movies last weekend, On Golden Pond and Cinema Paradiso. They were both wonderful and heartwarming IMO, could anyone recommend me something in a similar style?

You could try "Life Is Beautiful"

It's an Italian film set in WWII, where a family is sent to a labour camp and the father turns it into a game with his son to keep him happy.

It is light a light hearted film and sounRAB pretty similar to the 2 you mentioned.

Its A Wounderful Life? i have never seen this movie but this might be your type of movie, i have heard about it and read up on it, but its not my type.

Bridget Jones's Diary is such a wounderful modern film starring Hugh Grant & Renee cant spell her second name :o. I love this movie, plus i love the sequel The Edge of Reason, fantastic movies.

ET: Starring Drew Barrymore is a tear-jerker movie and the ending is so sad and heartwarming, i love this movie and i wish it was on television so i can record it.

American Pie starring Sean William Scott, its a morden teen comedy, its also a bit of romance between two characters, but its really for teenagers, but its still a wounderful film.

A film I think compliments these two is called Paper Moon with Tatum O'Neil and Ryan O'Neil It has the feel good factor without being too cheesey the humourous moments that don't feel contrived or ott
It's not avalible in the UK (and does not look likely that it will be) but Region 1 formats are available and region 2 from Aus
Ch4 show it now and again

Fallen, Denzel Washington

Usual Suspects,

Fargo,

Rear Window, the 50's original with James Stewart and the most beautiful woman in the world, ever. Grace Kelly.

Would second the earlier comments about The Shawshank Redemption and Simon Birch.
