I'm a professional and due to stress and having too much to do I find myself often forgetting things. I've always just written things down on notes and found that's enough to remember things I need, but lately it's not. Therefore, I'm looking to technology to help.
I'm looking for an attractive and reliable way to sync my e-mail, calendar, tasks, to-do list, contacts, etc in the "cloud". I require a system that allows me to use:
1. A desktop program, like the Windows Live suite or Outlook
2. A web interface, like Yahoo Mail/Calendar or the Windows Live suite
3. A smartphone.
All of the information must sync nearly automatically (within less than 5 minutes of any change) across all three systems without any manual intervention whatsoever. The entire system must also be attractive and professional looking, well-integrated, reliable, relatively snappy, and easy-to-use.
I use T-Mobile as my cell provider so I would prefer a subsidized T-Mobile smartphone; recommendations include the BlackBerry 8900, the new Shadow, and the G1. If another provider has a better phone (iPhone perhaps?) I'm willing to consider switching providers. I'm also willing to pay for the hosting: $15/mo max, $10/mo preferred, free is even better. I do have my own domain name where I receive e-mail and I'm willing to transfer it to a service that allows me to do what I need.
Right now it looks like a hosted Microsoft Exchange account with mobile access from godaddy.com is in the lead because it easily satisfies all three requirements. But, if I can do everything I need using Windows Live Mail/Calendar or Yahoo Mail/Calendar, I'd prefer to get just a ad-free subscription and go that route.
So, what's out there?
