Can you really go to military prison for lying at MEPS?

It's Federal prison, not military prison. No, they don't prosecute anybody for anything at MEPS. At worst, you'll be discharged or disqualified for service.

Yes, you could go to a military prison, if you say yes and the answer is no, and you get into the military. After your entry if the answer is found to be false, you could be sent to a military prison. The truth is that you would most likely be discharged under less than honorable conditions and sent back home. So, the answer is maybe. Yes, the MEPS folks will say you could be sent to a military prison and be totally truthful, but it isn't likely. The US military doesn't have the $$ to keep you in prison (clothing, food, shelter, and manning to guard you), vs. sending you home.

Look the only thing they can find out about is legal stuff. They CAN NOT find out about medical shit unless it's mental stuff because if you ever have to go for a security clearance they will check your mental health history but nothing else. Thats it, you will be fine

if you really want to join.. do what your recruiter says. When they tell you to say NO.. they mean it...
