Can you really earn money with Survey sites?

Do they sound too good to be true? If so they probably are too good.

For everything in life, if someone is offering to give you money, ask yourself what they are getting in return. Normally it is a skill or similar, or if they are paying just for your time ask how your time will make them money or their life better. For these surveys, who is making money from your involvement and are they making enough to give you at least minimum wage for your time?
 
No because most of the survey sites that says they will pay might be bogus catch to get you either answering or buying their products, read the small prints before doing anything. Just because survey sites say they will pay you for answering their questions doesn't nessecerily mean they will. I know because i done a survey before and never got paid. All i got was endless phone calls from different survey people i dont know so i had to change my BT phone number.
