Can you read a book off the internet and i want the whole book?

Well i want to know because i hate going to the library or if i can just read a book for my summer reading. If there is such a website please tell me. THX
 
You can read any books which are outside copyright - basically this means older classics. Try Project Gutenberg.

You can't read modern copyrighted novels for free online unless the author or publisher have specifically made them available - any you find have been stolen, and you should report them to the publisher.
 
You could go to Project Gutenberg. They have been putting 'e-books' on the Internet for years and they have thousands of books available. They're only public domain books, nothing too current. In fact most of them look really dull. But there are some great 'classics' there.

There are authors who publish their books on the Web these days. Sometimes you can read them online, or even download them. I don't know how you'd find them, but I would try googling 'web published book' or 'book published on the web', something like that.
