Can you re-use car audio installation cables?

I have a 5 meter, 4awg power cable that I've had in a Honda Prelude from 2002-2007, and a Toyota Previa from 2007 to now. I'm about to install the same amp system in a Toyota Celica and just began to wonder how long I can re-use the same power cable.

I plan to clip the ends to expose fresh wire, but how long and how many cars should these cables be used? It's high-end, thick wire, not cheap to replace.
 
the wire is good until the insulation is cracked or frayed.
You had no problems using the wires in the second car, why worry now?
