Will it harm the fish if you put food coloring in the water. And is there a certain kind you can't use. I was just wondering because I think it would look cool. Please don't criticize me. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will harm them. It's sort of like air pollution to us. The reason food coloring is safe for us is because of the small amount of toxins compared to our large bodies. So when the coloring passes through the fishes gills, it will collect toxins and decrease it's life span or ultimately kill it. It's a good idea, but it's not safe for the fish, and if it were, it would cost a lot if you do your regular water changes.

NO u will kill the fish food coloring is even bad for us!! and fish cant even stand us pudding our fingers in the tank let alone food coloring! if u want it a different color get a backround it will make it somewhat red or whatever but dont put food coloring!

no. it will all kill them. If you but enough in the water to change the color it will kill your fish. Stick to dogs, woman.
