Can you please help me with flash drives?

I am getting a new computer and I don't want to loose all my pictures on my current computer. Can you please tell me what's my best option? I have about 500 pictures and I was going to just get a usb flash drive. I would like to have that anyways so I want to get one that will hold alot. Thanks
THAT'S WHAT I NEED HELP WITH...WHAT SIZE DO I NEED FOR THAT MANY PICS?
 
I would do that or get an external hard drive......just make sure you have enough space. 500 pics would fit just fine on something as small as a 16BG device.
 
If you wanted a flash drive anyway, then go for it. They're pretty cheap now, anyway!

Before you get one, find out how much space you need for your pictures and make sure the flash drive is at least that big.

(Also, NewEgg.com is a great place to get USB flash drives at reasonable prices. Don't get them from Best Buy)
