can you play sports with pads and no tampons ?

im 14, and i've had my period for less than a year, im not totally comfortable with the whole tampon thing so please dont recomend them, thanks :), the thing is i love all sports, i play hockey in winter and soccer in the summer, thoughs are the two sports im concerned about. any suggestions or comments ?
 
i am 10 i don't wear tam ponds i Wear pads and ya u can just don't go in the water but if u Wear tampons u can swim ... just in case .. or just saying
 
You can, but it would probably be uncomfortable. It's definitely up to you, though.

Don't give up on tampons. You'll get there eventually, and you'll love them.
