Can you play sports with a heavy period?

I started my period last month, and I just turned 13.. I got it again yesterday (Tuesday, July 7th) and I haven't told my mom yet... Yesterday it was extremely heavy, I was just lying down watching TV for about an hour, hour and a half, and then I went to the bathroom and my pad was literally soaked(this was around 10:30 PM). So then I changed into a new pad and put three layers of toilet paper on it and stayed up till around 11:40 PM just to make sure nothing was wrong. So I went to the bathroom again, and the toilet paper was just filled with lots and lots of blood - the same amount of blood that was on my pad. Then I did the same thing again, right before I went to sleep (3 layers of toilet paper over pad) and I woke up around 5:30, 5:40 AM and the same thing! soaked! So then I did the same thing AGAIN (3 layers of toilet paper over pad) I then woke up around 7:30 AM and there was not even one droplet on the toilet paper/pad, and I checked down in my you-know-what (lol) and there was a little blood, but definitely not as much as before. but there was nothing on my toilet paper/pad

I don't know if I should tell my mom because I have tennis today, for about 2 hours, 2 and a half hours. I take a lesson, and then I have to go to my High School for a pre-season which is mandatory if I want to be on the team next year (it is on wed of every other week). If I tell my mom, she DEFINITELY won't let me go and most likely everyone will find out. Because my dad will ask why I'm not going, and my mom would tell him and I really don't want my 20 year old brother finding out because thats just awkward (well it's really awkward even telling my mom!!)!

So that's why I was wondering if I do the same thing - 3 layers of toilet paper covering my pad, do you think it will bleed as much as it did yesterday?? I don't have tampons at my house, so I can't resort to them...Should I run on my treadmill for about 10 minutes and see how much it bleeds, just in case?? But then again, running is kinda more active then tennis, so I don't know if 10 minutes really works? But if I run, will it bleed heavily today??

Also, I heard warm water increases bleeding. Is that true? Should I just take a cold shower today?

I will most likely tell my mom tomorrow, so that she can't say "don't go play tennis today" because I don't think I'll be playing tomorrow.

Also, the topic came up before when I was younger and she said that when I get my period, she won't let me play tennis for two months! Then my dad AND brother definitely will find out, AND I can't play!!
Do you think I will bleed A LOT during tennis and will it leak because it bleeded a lot yesterday just by sitting down (it didn't really leak that much but in tennis I'm moving around a lot), but barely anything today??

Please help, I am freaking out so much and crying so much because I don't know what to do!

PS - I need an answer ASAP, around 3 PM of today, July 8th. (east coast time)
PPS - Although I would LOVE any advice, please don't just say to tell my mom because she definitely won't understand and won't let me play tennis and will tell my dad who would tell my brother. (or if you do, make sure it's a REALLY GOOD REASON)

Just please tell me if you think my period will be heavy today evening around 4:30 or would it leak if I use a pad and 3 layers again for about two hours, and change into another set maybe once??

Also, I have been getting diarrhea. Should I just tell my parents that my stomach hurts a lot and I can't play? Because they know I was in the bathroom a lot yesterday and they asked me what was up and I just told them that my stomach hurt and I had diarrhea(nothing about my period)...But if I tell them this, then I don't know if I should tell my mom tomorrow because it would be kind of awkward..

One more thing - What should I eat or drink on the days of my period??

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but I'm sorry I'm really scared and I'm crying so much and right now I just hate being a girl..

But please try to answer all of my questions!! It would mean a lot to me!

Thanks,
Emily
