I have an RCA home stereo and i would like to find out what is wrong with it. we have had it for years but it recently just stopped producing sound. i had 4 speakers hooked up to it plus a bass speaker, not a sub, and this worked for a very long time. but i had to disconnect everything to take it to a friends to show him the beautiful sound, well you can imagine my embarrassment when no sound came out. the equalizer sound bars moved up and down like it was playing but no matter what wires i hooked up to where, just no sound. this is very frustrating because it was my dear mothers stereo before she passed and i dont want to throw it out or sell it for parts. so could i have overloaded the negative and positive bare wire jack with speakers? or has anyone else ever had this problem? thanx guys.
