Can you mail a hard drive media mail through USPS?

A CD or DVD contains media and are basically storage devices so would a hard-drive, which basically does the same thing, fall under this category as well?

Ask the postal service to be sure, but I would think it is a storage device so it qualifies. Make damned sure you wrap it good and put plenty of styrofoam kernels in the box because USPS loves to CRUSH boxes...as all too well I know, from having shipping computer parts through them. I think they like to play basket ball with boxes while they are taking their break. I would put a dollar value on your hard disk and the data and buy shipping insurance to make them pay for any damages. Luckily, I did this and got full reimbursement.
