Can you judge Islam by looking at Muslim lands round the world?

I have seen a list of 60 muslim countries, I know a little bit about many of these countries, isn't that as good a way as any to judge a religion?
crempel2, Not fair, you're asking your own question and then answering it! I asked my question first, lol
Deeja, I think it's more like judging food by tasting it, not by reading the recipe.
Sindala, I didn't say I thought badly of these muslim countries, thou it's true I, personally, wouldn't want to live in any. Sounds like you wouldn't be too keen to either but would blame it on colonialism.

Judging religion by just looking at its adherents never gives a stable picture.

Looking at a Christian country like Great Britain the image may be positive now but it wasn't in de colonial time in which the British had a devastating influence on the cultures that you think bad of now...

Nope.
If you want to learn more about Islam, read an english translation of the Qur'an and go to a mosque and talk to the Imams there.
Judging a religion by its lands around the world is like judging a book by its cover. We all do it, but we know that it isn't right.

Perhaps, but then can we not do the same for other religions? Christianity it would seem, then, is nothing but a money laundering institution.
