YES you can joi the Army with asthma as long as you have NOT had an attack within the past 5 years i believe, check with your recruiter. asthma never goes away, just goes in a "remission" type state where it can start up again.

if you tell the people at MEPS they will disqualify you no questions asked. As for you, if it doesn't bother you you'll be fine.

Flat feet isn't an issue they give you insoles that will adjust to you feet. With the asthma situation, if you can honestly go without an inhaler and you think that a 3 to 5 mile run wont bring on an attack you should be fine. Alot of people get through basic with asthma and once your in as long as it doesn't become a serious issue there will be no need to medically discharge you, and even if you get a medical discharge you will know that you have tried to do everything you can to get in the Army and you wont regret not joining later in life. By the way don't go into MEPS and tell them you have Asthma because all you have done then is waist everyone's time.

No, it is too risky for you to be in the services. They really DON'T want something to happen to you and PT plus combat can be very stressful which may bring on an attack. But you could serve in other ways such as getting a civilian job in DoD.

No, sorry. It's dangerous. Even if you make it through training, what happens if you find yourself in a firefight and you have an asthma attack? You could get yourself and your friends killed.

If you can get through boot camp without your inhaler then you're in.
A friend of mine just became a Marine and he's had asthma most of his life.

You CAN join the military with asthma, it just a matter of how severe it is. In example, someone like me who has exercise endused asthma, like when I run too much or do to much strenuous activities I have a greater chance of having an attack, I would be best avoiding joining the military. Though if your asthma is minor and you haven't had to use a fast acting inhaler or other asthma related medicine in few years, then go for it. As long as you can keep it under control without an inhaler or other medications your fine
