can you join the air force with a GED?

i came across some problems in my life and wasnt able to graduate high school so im getting my G.E.D (general education degree) and i want to join the air force but a friend told me thatthe air force only accepts people who have there GED once a year or something like that and i want to get that cleared up before i go talk to a recruiter. any help would be appreciated.

YES, Your score on the ASVAB determines if you can join the Air force. If you dont score high enough on the ASVAB you can not join. And thats if you have a high school diploma or GED

The Air Force requires you to have 15 college semester hours of credit,To enlist with a GED.
