I want to buy a starfish, but i want to touch it and play with it alos, i heard they're good with that, i just want to know if they are aggressive or if they are toxic,I am going to get a chocolate-chip sea star, if you have a starfish please tell me if you touch it/ hold it.
i would really like to know :)
thanks:)
and uhm, i already have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a tortise, I want a starfish.
and i will be sure to keep it moist, thanks.
Btw,
I am quite an animal lover/ rights activist.
I am vegetarian, almost vegan.
I love animals and would not dream of ever hurting one, Starfish do not have a central nervous system, as long as they are kept comfortable and damp, it will be fine and not feel pain. Thank you very much, so uhm dont down the good answers i get, kay.

I don't have any knowledge about star's but in my honest opinion..Why would you do that?
Your going to stress the poor thing out!
A starfish is a living creature, not a toy for you to play with!

If you want to play with something maybe you should get a dog instead. You can touch those all you want.

Yes, you can.

It will be fine.

Aquariums allow people to hold and touch their captive sea stars all the time, with no harm done.

I don't know much about starfish, but I do know that there are a few species (at least wild, in the Puget Sound) that have a single leg that will adhere to you and not let go unless severed... these stars can still be handled, but only on their backs, otherwise they lose a leg... something that would mostly be an aesthetic issue, as, as you mentioned, they do not feel pain.

Anyways, good luck! Sounds like fun! I wish I could get starfish, but I am unable to keep a reef tank right now. Only freshies for me.
