the garden is saturated in water and it is still pouring down rain..I am afraid everything will be lost and there is still way more rain to come

It's pretty tough to garden outside this time of year. If there's this much rain, it's probably going to pretty much smash your garden down for the winter, anyway. Unless, of course, you're writing from South America. :)

If you're this dedicated, you'd probably love a greenhouse, especially one attached to the south side of your house. They make winter gardening easy.

well if you dont mind getting wet I would say get out there and did a trench..it would let the water run out another suggestion would be to place some pvc pipe in the rows that would allow the water to drain somewhere else

Make sure the drainage pipe that you lay down has enough of a continuous gradient to have the water flow away from or out of the garden.
