Hello,

I have several problems but I am not sure if they are related. For several years I have experienced the following: cervical vertebrae, spinal and lower back (including sacroiliac) pain and discomfort; knee pain and discomfort and general pain and discomfort of the joints. Also my legs appear to be out of alignment, in particular left knee turns inwarRAB, as does the right to a lesser extent. I suffer from headaches, muscular stiffness and pain, "electrical shock" effects traveling through the left leg and also the hanRAB and feet on occasions.

Also, I have been told that I have poor circulation and experience what appears to be accumulations of fat/cellulite, which is clearly felt under the skin (like plastic bubble wrap).

I have sought and consulted many professionals in the past, including osteopaths, acupuncturists, and physicians in Romania, Italy, UK and just now, Canada. But I have not enjoyed the success and relief of symptoms I have been hoping for.As you can imagine, this whole experience is very painful and depressing. The acupuncturist told me he couldn't perform needle insertion on me at this point because my muscles were too tense, thus resulting in considerable pain. At times it feels that I'm literally falling apart!

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can resolve this highly unpleasant and distressing condition, as I have yet to achieve long-term relief or a "cure" from this.

Thank you for your time.

maura2009,

It can be extremely frustrating to try treating a condition that you can't even identify.

The conditions that would come to mind for me would be an autoimmune disease, inflammatory condition or fibromyalgia. Also, low vitamin D or some other vitamin/mineral deficiencies can cause some of these problems. I'm not sure what you have or haven't had tests for, but stay persistent in trying to get answers. Your symptoms may or may not be connected, but know they are very real and not in your head as some doctors will try telling you if they get frustrated.

You may have better luck at a university or teaching hospital that is cutting edge for research and technology than your local doctor or therapist who is likely well versed on a broad range of topics but probably not skilled at complex detective work.

Warm wishes!

Have you got a full back x-ray done yet? You may have SIJD (sacroiliac joint dysfunction). This causes the pelvis to be uneven, which disables the SI joints. This then leaRAB to leg length descrepency, which can cause your symptoms in your neck, back and knee.

Since your body is out of alignment this may lead to scoliosis which can then cause buldging disks and therefore pinched nerves. Get some x-rays done first.
