How long do Goldfish live? I want one but Im not going to waste my money if it will die in like a month
 
Gold Fish Live For A Long Time, not just a week.
I Say 3-5 Years, i actually bet more then that.

but you have to have a good enough tank, if its too small, it'll die in a short time, if the tank is a reasonable size it'll have a good life span.

fish are expensive though, you should have a good tank, a filter, food, you have to change the water atleast twice every month, and the water cant be tap water, it has to be "good" water.

oh ya, you also shouldnt get one fish, you should atleast get 2, so itll live longer, cause it'll be lonely and die quick, unless it has a friend. Its The Truth...


overall, its worth it, there really fun, and only take a small amount of care.
 
depends on the fish. my bro had 2 for 12 years they started turning silver. they were just in a bowl with some rocks. Had to change it maybe once a week. now they say they need heaters, pumps and all that stuff to survive.
 
Goldfish live long as long as you have proper equipment (filter, please do not make the smae mistake i made and use just a bowl with rocks and a plastic plant)
 
pretty long but if ur like me and keep feeding them big flakes of food without realizing they will last like 2 weeks
and dont worry they are very cheap
 
I have to say from personal experience that they do not usually live long. 2 I had lived for 3 days and a few more died on the way home.
 
They last a very long time, the fish alone will cost you only $1. but the tank, water treatment chemicals, and the time occasionally cleaning the tank is the biggest investment.
