I am having trouble lately with it going off when I open the door and/or turning the car on. The only way it goes off is by simply letting it "time out" after maybe 1 or 2 min. (Feels like a lifetime) Nothing works when i press any of the key fob buttons, lock or unlock the doors from the driver door switch, or inserting the key and moving it to acc/ on/ or cranking the car. The car Will turn on but the alarm continues to sound. I can even put it in any gear and it will continue.
The next time this happens, are there any suggestions of things I should try until I can get it to a dealership? (if needed) I have read that the factory alarms differ some from the EX (likemine) to the LX models.
