Can you help me with my ASVAB test?

So, are the recruiter and practice ASVABs more challenging than the actual ASVAB? I got an 80 on my practice test, but I need at least a 95.

I took it without studying a single bit. Obviously I will probably have to study some. I am just wondering if I can expect to do well or not on the real one. Do you have any practice/study books to recommend? I got ASVAB for dummies from my roommate and Basic Training for the AFQT.

Oh, and I need a ST 95. Is there any way to study mostly those along with the 3 main ones? I cannot find specific VE practice either. Any ideas? They are hard to find since it is a special job.

Oh and the job is for a linguist, and I'm about to graduate with a linguistics major from college.

Why would you need a 95 on your asvab ?

All the asvab score itself is used for, is to see if you can enlist or not.

The AFQT = 2(VE) + (AR) + (MK)

VE is determined by adding (WK) and (PC) then using a special chart to get a VE score.

Word Knowledge (WK),
Paragraph Comprehension (PC),
Arithmetic Reasoning (AR),
Mathematics Knowledge (MK)..


The ST Line score is :

Word Knowledge (WK),
Paragraph Comprehension (PC),
General Science (GS)
Mathematics Knowledge (MK)
Mechanical Comprehension (MC)

Why are you enlisting? Why not go into the military as an officer (intel) or go work for the state department? Foreign language speakers are needed and you demand more money with a degree then an enlisted person gets!
 
try going to secure.military.com. and take a practice asvab. military .com is a site i use for most of my military needs
